Stars

This winter I am going to try to take a decent pic of the stars.

As I have no idea how to do this it should be interesting. But it gives me an excuse (as if I needed one) to stand and stare at the milky way.

Any hints would be appreciated... so long as it doesn't involve buying cameras or lenses. Me and my wee lumix are on this mission together.
