flower of democracy?

emergency flower blip time!
Didn't take my camera to work, came home with enough time to eat, pack for tomorrow's holiday, shower, vote then go out to a parish council meeting for work purposes. So, I quickly snapped a few tulips in my front garden as I rushed by, fully intending to take some better pictures at the polling station. So much for intentions.
It's a shame not to have a more topical image, especially having lectured a friend's daughter on exercising her democratic rights after I lured her into my car with the offer of a lift home when I saw her at the bus stop! But it is a pretty flower.
