Mowing the Skirt

A very early start today... 5.00am... not even light!

This is a John Deere triple cylinder mower cutting the grass between the green and the fairway on the second hole of the Fidra course at Archerfield, East Lothian, currently being used to stage the Ladies Scottish Open.

I felt a bit of a fraud. While all the greenies were busy sweeping/blowing/ combing/ironing/mowing, I was wandering around trying to get my camera to work in the appalling half-light of the heavily overcast skies just after dawn. Of the couple of hundred shots I took, this stood out for me
