Fruits of my Labours
As I mentioned yesterday, I spent a fair part of yesterday baking, because today I'd volunteered to host our monthly Old Lags' coffee morning, the gathering of retired colleagues who have taught together over the years at the local Secondary School. I'm not normally the cake maker in our house, so this was largely unfamiliar territory for me.
Despite making serious inroads, we seem to have got enough left over to ensure that I'll be on an (even more) strict diet by next week. No phone calls complaining of food poisoning as yet, which I'm taking as a good sign - unless they're too incapacitated to get to the phone.
