A great evening last night, Calamari starter, Lamb main course and an early(ish) night, more later.

I must say now that my Greek is somewhat lacking, I have remembered how to say hello, 'Kalimera', by thinking it is similar to Calamari. Well this has a drawback, one of these is when you walk into a shop and say 'Squid' rather than hello, oops!

Besides setting Anglo Greek relations back several centuries, and providing K with a good chuckle, we set the alarm for 5.45 am and went to the bus station. This is supposed to be a holiday, but there is a gorge to hike. So an hour's bus ride, a 18 km walk (from 1250m to sea level), a boat trip and a bus ride back to Hania. We made it back to the start at 8 pm, well worth it though.
