Vergessen/To forget
I've completely forgotten the name of these flowers. Just before I went to school I knew, but I've learned so much that I've knocked that fact out. I know it ends with "...schaumblaette" but I can't for the life of me bring it to mind. I'll probably shout it in my sleep tonight and then forget it again.
Danke Elwetritsche, the flowers are called Wiesen-Schaumkraut in German and in English they are Cuckoo Flower or Lady's Smock.
Saw a bloke today wandering round the Volkspark dragging a parachute behind him. I'm not entirely sure he's got the complete picture when it comes to paragliding. The Volkspark is large and flat (and it was almost windless today) and there's no edges to run off. Maybe he liked the idea of paragliding but not the height part.
Today's Song in German comes courtesy of my other half who's off out in Mainz, and I hope, having a Great Time. The song goes like this:-
Ich habe geliebt, gelacht und geweint
Ich habe die Erfüllung und ein Stück Verlust erlebt
Und wenn jetzt die Tränen versiegen
Finde ich alles erheiternd.
