Tulips that really are from Amsterdam

I go to Amsterdam a couple of times each year, and each time I always buy some tulips from the stall on the bridge at the top of the red light district.

These are outside my front door and have been in several years, and they've nicely multiplied. I love tulips and the different varieties that can be grown. I've got black ones, parrot ones, rag ones..lots and lots. And they're all from Amsterdam.

I know they're probably the same bulbs that can be picked up in our garden centres, but I like looking at them and knowing that they were purchased from the city most famed for them and from it's most famous area.

Lovely day again today. Weather's so nice I decided to book off the rest of the week and have a nice 10 day break (happy days!).

I also treated myself to an upgrade on my bridge camera and it has a 30x zoom and 14 megapixls.....and I'm liking it lots!
