Once upon a time.......
........there were two little children who went to the fair. It was a slightly rainy day and as result the lights of the rides, stalls and candy floss sellers were brighter than normal at seven o'clock in the evening.
After a wonderful time hooking ducks, failing to knock down towers of tin cans and throw balls into buckets, getting lost in the mirror maze, eating hot dogs and laughing at other children who started to turn green on the waltzer type rides, the time came to head home.
On their way out of the fair the children heard a little voice calling them, "hey, children!" the voice called. "Oi, over here!" The children looked around them and couldn't see anyone there. They were surrounded by those flashing, noisy machines that you put money in to grab at some stuffed toy that probably has a sharp spike hidden in it's eye.
"I said, over here!" The voice shouted again. The children walked toward where they thought the sound was coming from. One of those machine with the grabbers. The machines that are rigged so that hardly anyone can win a Shaun the Sheep cuddly toy.
"Here I am. Help me." The voice was calling. "Help me. If you help me, you could take me home with you. I will cuddle you and tell you a bedtime story."
The children liked the sound of that. That was until they saw what owned the voice. A pair of extremely scary eyes stared at them from behind the glass.
The little boy said to his sister, "There is no chuffin' way we are taking that thing home. Bedtime stories? Bedtime nightmares more like. Chuff that, let's go and get a beer."
The end.
