You Were Seventeen....
When this lady came into my life, I was astounded.
She was a little person like I had never, ever known before. Until she arrived, I had Boy who talked non-stop and demanded imput constantly. Tooli sat and watched, and absorbed - and grunted when she wanted something.
Tooli liked the status quo, technical information about situations, and rules. Any changes, situations with no explanations, and breaking the rules conflicted with her train of thought New situations were stressful for her and us, as we tried to prepare her.
This was Tooli's last uniformed day at school today. I came home to this young lady, no longer a school girl. Eloquent and intelligent, annoyed and vocal, laughing and joking.
My baby has graduated childhood and no longer needs me for parenting.
From astonishing me as a baby, she has overwhelmed me by growing into this smart young lady, not scared to voice her opinions, and not scared to hold opinions which don't sit with the majority.
You Go Babe. You make me so proud to be your mum XX
