THX
I had a couple of shots in mind for this challenge: Parallel Lines.
They (parallel lines) were of course everywhere once I started noticing, but I decided to go with this hopefully unusual abstract image.
I've been doing some background research into calibration recently, specifically for photography, but what you see here is part of a screen used for optimising displays. If you have a DVD or BD which has THX imprinted on the back cover then you will have this feature available to you in the main menu - it's called the THX Optimizer!
It basically allows the user to adjust the screen display, adjusting controls such as colour, tint/hue and sharpness until the correct effect is reproduced. Analogous to digital photo processing in many respects.
Here is the full screen as a reference: http://i-cdn.apartmenttherapy.com/uimages/unplggd/051708unplggd-THX-optimizer.jpg
Looking at this whilst trying to take pictures made my eyes go a little funny :)
Thanks for looking/comments/shares/favs!
