Don't Throw Rubbish!!
In Shetland, you will see signs from time to time reading "Dunna Chuck Bruck", meaning "Don't Throw Rubbish".
For the last 25 years, volunteers from some of Shetland's 23,000(approx) residents gather in their own local neighbourhood/village and pick up all the litter lying around. This includes what comes in on the tides along the shore lines.
It's an excellent way to get everyone involved in being part of keeping their neck of the woods clean and tidy.
This year being the 25th year there is to be an exhibition of photos taken from previous years plus statisitics and archive details.
I think it's great that we can still work together in this way to keep our island special, clean, tidy and worth a visit.
Have a great day folks!
