I need your help this morning!

A wonderful opportunity has presented itself to me if I can think of something to do with them. The city of Edinburgh is selling off 22 police boxes.

Weighing two tons each and situated at various points of the city these little (well two tons each) pieces of history were designed by a man with a wonderful scottish ring to his name, Ebenezer Macrae, and were put in place between 1931 and 1933, their main purpose being to give the beat constable a base and contact point.

Since the police don't have beat responsibility any more, preferring to keep us safe from air conditioned offices or when they need fresh air arriving at a demonstration in Transit vans to beat students with sticks, the powers that be regarding the sight of s uniform on the street as a provocation and likely to lead to a racial incident, these blue boxes are deemed obsolete.

So my dilemma is this. If I buy them what can I do with them? some have been converted to coffee stalls already so thats out. What about pop in hairdressing centres? Mobile phone charging points? Speed dating booths? OR what about blip viewing points where people could drop in a coin and browse the blips of the day?

Send your ideas on a postcard and please this time put a stamp on it.
