Day 1

Here it is, my new farm!

Today was my first day of work and it was jam-packed with learning new tasks. This farm is a heavily producing one and there are loads of work to be done each and every day. I know for certain already that I will learn a massive amount about organic farming, plant biology, community outreach, and small-scale agri-business. Very, very exciting!

Pictured is one of perhaps a dozen crop fields, now holding kale and cabbage; behind that, the farm's vineyard; the outdoor kitchen/packing shed facility; and the greenhouse. The farm is situated in a mountain valley, with luscious green conifer forest blanketing the surrounding mountainsides.
