Does my bum look yellow in this?
Had to be out and about quite early this morning for a hospital appointment today, so once that was out of the way, I went off to a park where I could have a pleasant walk without it being too muddy as I was wearing trainers, not my boots. One of Sheffield's 5 rivers, the Porter Brook, runs through it and like all of the rivers has plenty of evidence of the industrial heritage of the area, dams and mill races being a feature so water aplenty, especially after recent heavy rain. Yet again, it was a heron which was a strong contender for the blip as this one posed for me obligingly, but as it's only a few days since my last heron blip I decided to go with this other frequenter of watery spots. I don't think I've ever seen a grey wagtail perching in a tree before - they always seem to be hopping from rock to rock, or scuttling across muddy stream side areas, so I was pleased to have got this shot.
