Getting over the excitement of the airlift!
When we said goodbye to the brothers last night, we wished them luck on their climb and did not expect to see them again until the next Munro challenge.
I had a nice day walking with D and came home in the evening, to discover that 2 of the 3 had fallen quite a long way down the mountain in the (unexpected) snow, had been found by mountain rescue and airlifted off in a helicopter. G had broken his arm and was to be picked up from the Southern General in Glasgow.
R, the eldest, had decided that it was too dangerous and had turned back, but G, having come all the way up from London, wanted to keep going. They actually did climb it, so he can tick it off his list. They fell on the descent, as they didn't have the correct equipment for the conditions!
This is G after we picked him up in Glasgow, with his arm in a cast. He now has to report to his nearest hospital in London, to have a pin put in! Oh well, he won't forget this one!
