Muguet

We bought some lilly of the valley from this stand in Place de Barcelone this morning. People were selling it all over the city, a May 1st tradition. It is supposed to bring good luck.

We made the most of the holiday and the good weather. J's cousin left this morning to return to Germany and a friend of ours arrived from Canada. She is here for a few days for meetings, but was able to spend today with us. We did lots of walking - Paris looked beautiful in the sun and smelled like lilly of the valley (an improvement over the usual...) The parks we visited (Luxembourg, André Citroen) were incredibly busy with everyone out enjoying the day off and, at long last, the sun.
