Apple blossom buds

The apple tree in my garden is just about to burst into blossom. It is a little late -- probably because of the changeable weather this spring. The tree is over 100 years old and produces lovely cooking apples, many weighing over a pound each. For now, we can enjoy the pink and white blossoms of spring.
