In the evening sun

This little viola is in a handing basket by our front door. It and the rest of them have survived frozen, snowed on, hail and heavy rain. In the evening sun it looks beautiful.
Last night I had planned to get a photo taken this morning. No chance the heavy rain saw that idea off. Work has been manic so there was no chance to get out all day; arriving home I needed some ideas. I started off in the front garden and then the back; in the end I had viola, camellia, clematis, bark from a birch and dried thistle. This one got the vote.
