Waterloo Bridge

When I was young, my mother's favourite movie was (and still is) Gone with the wind because of Vivien Leigh. She was one of my mother's favourite actresses and that is why I knew about Waterloo Bridge. She told me the heartbreaking story many times and how beautiful Vivien Leigh was and how in love she was with her tall British officer. And how cruel life can be, just a matter of bad timing sometimes. I always knew it had a sad ending Waterloo Bridge. As my wonderful independant video store La Boîte Noire is closing, I got the opportunity to buy the dvd. Watched it twice and the story resonates so much still.

How are we supposed to escape the past when it clings to every little thing in our life? Many pasts sometimes to the same little thing...
