Eight Bridges

"...in the shadow of Cologne Cathedral, the Collegium Musicum undertakes... an experiment in large dimensions inspired by John Cage's 'Europeras'."

Here, the symphony and chamber orchestra, with the madrigal choir in the background. Also taking part were 3 other choirs and a jazz band. The performance was a sound experiment partly determined by chance and partly a planned dramatic blend, with excerpts from oratorios, choral, jazz standards, symphonic movements, Renaissance madrigals and big band classics.
