Little Dave

or my pocket size prince as I sometimes refer to him...

We went exploring today and ended up at Paxton House in the borders... We're both heritage geeks so are no strangers to a historic house, and this one is really nice ... A grand Georgian house, full of posh Chippendale furniture, some really impressive historic clothing in amazing condition, and it's an outpost for the Scottish National Galleries.. who have a number of paintings on display in their picture gallery...

Only down side is not being able to take photo's in the house... however in their waiting room area where you gather for the tours, was this massive chair that you're allowed to sit on, it was a prop from the Borrowers film... (never quite found out how it came to be at Paxton... ) but the opportunity to take a picture of Dave perched on it, looking like Ronnie Corbett in full storytelling mode, was too big a temptation to resist...
