The electricity isn't grounded here, so if you touch the pan handle, you are in for a surprise. Patrick was the first to discover this, so he lovingly dared me to place a finger on the handle... however, I would not do it, not even for a hundred dollars, Sam I Am.

The picture is badly blurred, but it gives you an idea of our culinary improvising. The kitchen is about as big as the typical kitchen table, and instead of an oven, we have this square thing, on the roof of which is a coil of metal that heats to bright red when you plug it in - essentially, a broiler. With this, we made delicious, gluten-free pizzas (including homemade crusts!).
