She retracted them when she noticed that I was trying to get a picture of them but my sister turns out to get the same sort of cold-hand thing that I get, which doesn't seem to be fully-fledged Reynaud's but which makes preventative glovewear very useful. At least she seems to generally feel the cold all over, whereas my hands are the only weak point in my cold-withstanding capacities. I lent her my SealSkinz for the walk back from the café; they're fine for wandering about (as long as you start with warm and dry fingers inside them) even if they sometimes fail to stop the cold and wet getting at fingers and thumbs being conveyed at high speeds.
