The Hinge

This is one of the hinges on a completely home made sea chest, or possibly a lobster keep box, that Apothecary7, Maeve the Deerhound and I saw yesterday down where the fishing boats are kept behind Westhaven Beach.

The box is sitting on a pallet, just ready to be lifted on to one of the fishing boats when needed. I grabbed a few more shots of 'things at the back of the beach' today, this being one of them.

Since it was still overcast when Maeve and I were down on the beach I decided that detail shots were the order of the day. Close in and showing texture might be the way to go with this sort of subject :-)
