Hippy Chic

Visiting friends in Powys this weekend, we nipped outside while the rain held off.. to Bishop's Castle, a fabulously old and quirky little village just over the English border.

Lots of eastern influences in the shops, like thai batik and silks and jewellery, antiques, fairies (!)..

The local knitting club had knitted a lot of street things too, like lamposts, road signs, railings. I can't remember why but it certainly brightened up the streets!!
