WE HAVE LIFTOFF

Well, I'm on a roll, second of the new blip year, two in a row!

Went out to take some photos of the ever handy gulls which frequent the ponds at work. It was too windy for them and they were staying put on the bank... the black swans however, were very m iffed at my presence and decided to take flight - not something they normally do. Normally they just swim further off onto the pond.

Very pleased I waited long enough for this to happen ... I love how they take ages to get themselves airborne, lots of feet splashes pushing off the water.
