Vine-O-Saurus

When we first moved into this house 10 years ago, there were no vines growing on it. Someone had cut them back to the ground, but did not remove the roots.

This year, the vines are taking over! In fact, I think that the vines have started to think they are a tree!

I wonder what the chances are that this pattern of growth would happen again? The leaves are huge this year, and it feels a bit like living in the age of the dinosaurs!
