Climate change

Another wet weather blip like lots of others from the UK today.

The gale started last night and continued most of the day. A northeasterly that hits the house from the opposite direction to usual so that the Aga exhales foul fumes and the roof leaks and the cat flap lets in puffs of cold air.

I'm too parsimonious to turn on the central heating when I'm the only (human) one here but I lit the stove in the parlwr and this is the result: happy cats and dog.

It's hard to credit that a month ago my fire looked like this.
