Boy in da 'hood

The weather today was a bit better; no heavy rain! Today was the Kinross Cycle Club sportive, 70 miles in hilly country on roads around where we live. In fact we went right through our village to an amazing welcome featuring loads of children in the team colours banging pots and pans, and Death dancing about in the street blasting an air horn. He's not so grim...

It was reasonably tough, however, and pretty cold; there was snow on the ground at the top of Dunning Common and a cold and surprisingly hard headwind for the last 15 miles or so. Kinross did a great job however with good food at the stops and at the end. Definitely one to do again next year.

After the cycle and getting cleaned up we went around to a friend's house in the village for a lovely (if chilly) BBQ; +3/3 spent the evening toddling around the garden and getting supremely dirty.
