A view above the Croft

Just returned from a fab wekend camping with the family and friends at a great campsite midway between Comrie and Crieff - "Comrie Croft" -

It is the only campsite thus far that I have retured to more than once and it is just fab - great place for the kids to explore - mountain bike track just at the back - Open fires allowed and great views from the top of the "Red Run".

Arrived Friday night and just as we managed to pitch our tent it started to Hail!! - ground turned white - then after an hour or so it stopped. Tent partially froze over night - Sun came out on Saturday and warmed the place up (thankfully) and in the afternoon, Clare and I managed a walk up the hill at the back - took the camera and managed to get this pic (amongst others)

Saturday night was another cold one but woke to a glorious Sunday morning - fab way to spend a weekend, out in the wilderness with great friends (thanks Annie, Peter and Jed) and just appreciating this beautiful world that we live in.....
