Early start after a late(ish) night

Well todays early start was a little more painful that usual due to a later night than my body clock is used to in its preperation for a 5am wake up. Last night was a leaving night out for someone at work and, although we got home at 1am which I would not usually consider late, getting up 4 hours later for work was a challenge. Thankfully I was greeted by the sun poking his head above the horizon as I staggered zombie like into the kitchen to put the kettle on and attempt to keep the cats from escaping into the rest of the house. Getting up at ridiculous o'clock isn't so bad when Mr. Sunshine is there to make everything light.
