Changing a Tire

On the way out to the Pantanal, we stopped in a gas station to make sure our tires were good and inflated. I liked the colors in this frame and decided to snap a shot, regardless of the awkwardness of photographing a person without asking. He caught me. But I still like the photo.

The drive into our Pousada was full of birds! So many birds! The system is as such: our hostel in Cuiabá provided us with a system of guides and pousadas within the Pantanal. We paid a pretty sum for our 5 day adventures but everything except drinks were included. So our guide drove us and our cook (who stayed at our first Pantanal pousada) to the first site, and we saw silvery marmosets, snail kites, and capybaras before we even arrived at the entrance to the pousada.
