Sunshine!

Thank goodness the sun came out today and made everybody very happy, including me! I had a great start to the morning having breakfast at my son's house with my daughter-in-law and my two adorable grandsons. How lucky I am to have a d.i.l. who is more like a great friend. We ate a heap of freshly made pancakes followed by a wee walk.

It was then time to meet up with a good friend who had come down from Caithness for the day. We had a delightful time exploring the Black Isle. I love going somewhere I have not explored before and we walked along the shore at Rosemarkie (where blip is taken) and then up through the Fairy Glen - a delightful woodland wander. The leaves were just freshly out on the trees, there were great carpets of celandines, wood anemones and bluebells and the dappled sunlight was lighting up the little stream as we wandered up the glen. It is so good to wander in a quiet place where there are no signs of man and everything is just perfectly getting on with what it is designed to do - creating beautiful patterns in the process.

I hope the sun shone on you today and I sincerely hope it shines on us all again tomorrow!
PS if you look in large you will see lots of wee people on the rocks and the sand away into the distance!
