here comes the southerly

As the cold rainy clouds came towards me from beyond these hills, the sun still found some gaps to poke through and light up the Port Hills.

Just after this, it rained quite hard for about 5 minutes and then it was gone... on its way further north.

The peak at the left is Mt Cavendish, you can just make out the gondola building at the top.

The peak at the right is Castle Rock, popular with rock climbers.

The Port Hills are a protected reserve - there would be a fantastic view from a house up there, but such development is currently not allowed... so we can all enjoy recreation up there. Fantastic!
