We finally did get some rain overnight, though not as much as we'd have liked. It was a cloudy start to the day, but by the time I was out, the sun was breaking through again, and the air had that lovely fresh feeling. I found this rose in Blong Memorial Park just up the road a way in Symmes Township. The park was dedicated earlier this year, in memory of the level 4 tornado which tore through that area on April 9, 1999, and to honor all the emergency personnel who responded. We were lucky - although we are only about a mile and a half south, the tornado missed us.
