Steamy...

This is the second room I am tackling. I started the first one at 8am and started this one at 3pm. What a great sense of achievement and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I find redecorating very therapeutic and have my music or an audiobook blaring the whole time. At 7.30pm I have called it a day and am going to have a wee walk in the brilliant sunshine - looks upwards and says "thank you" before setting to some cross stitch and Simon Cowell!

I was so busy today I missed a visit from a great friend who was apparently yelling very loudly from outside - and I remained on the end of my steamer with my story booming out! Pity, as a hand to move some furniture would have been good. Still I managed what I could and covered the rest!

I also took many bags to the charity shop who seemed pleased with the load. Hopefully it will all go where it is appreciated. I was surprised, but pleased how busy it was in there - about 10 folk browsing. It was really stacked with stuff too.

I popped in to see the lady selling new houses in the village - which I could never buy as they don't have the compulsory coal fire, but was quite surprised at the price of them. 3 bedroom detached at £159..

I'm quite looking forward to a new place, but would be very happy if it was in excellent decorative order - well at least good enough for a while!!

Beautiful evening - what a treat.
