Bear ......
..... with a sore head.
Today I have had a rare Saturday off work and have been to the Harrogate flower show.
I'm not quiet sure why as I don't really like flowers or crowds and I especially don't like crowds of people looking at flowers.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy gardening and sitting down to watch gardeners world on a Friday evening, but it's more the process of gardening, the challenge of seeing if I can get unusual and exotic plants to germinate and grow. You won't see me down the garden centre buying trays of marigolds, I'll more likely be buying exotic plant seeds and tubers from specialist plant websites.
Never the less every year I go to the Harrogate flower show regardless. Today it was cold, windy and wet, not really the sort of weather for strolling around show gardens. I did buy myself a few bits and pieces though....
A black stone egg ....
A small maple bonsai tree ....
A pack of curly juncus grass seed ...
Two packs of sausages .....
And this little tweed bear badge. He was looking at me from a stand of other hand made bears in the craft tent. His little bead eyes looking at me saying ' get me out of this blooming place ' ( I think he intended the pun ). I gave the bear making lady on the stall a fiver and pinned the little fella to my bag's shoulder strap.
It's been a long day and I'm working the next eight days in a row. I've sausages to cook for my tea then I will have a long soak in the bath. As I don't like flowers, today's blip is ....
..... A bear with a sore head.
