Cromarty Firth

Pete had a job at the Nigg fabrication yard in Easter Ross and I decided to go too. Anything for an adventure !
An amazing 6ish hour drive from Tynemouth through stunning scenery.
( Bit miffed we couldnt stop for scenic shots!)
The galaxy 1 rig is the first to be re vamped there in about 9 years, the yard having been closed since 2002, and I am told planning to employ around 2,000 people by 2015.
The whole area is covered in beautiful yellow broom but by the time we arrived the light had almost gone so I took this silhouette on a wild cold walk after our meal.
