This morning we were up bright and early to get Miles off to the hospital to get his ear tubes put in. We had to check in 2 hours prior to the actual surgery, so while we were waiting we got to play on mini cars and cruise the hallways with other little friends who were waiting for day surgery appointments.
He did great for all the nurses and doctor. It was hard to walk away after they gave him the sleepy meds, but it only took a total of 30 minutes for him to get the surgery done and wake up. We waited in the recovery room for another hour after that, where he got to try goldfish crackers and a popsicle for the first time.
When we got home, Mimi came over to play with him while Mitch and I both worked from home. He was blabbing, showing Mimi his favorite toys, and requesting her to read many books to him. Clearly the whole thing didn't phase him too much!
Here is a sleepy Miles post surgery, getting a special treat of apple juice to help recover.
