What a day!!

I was just getting j & j rounded up to go upstairs for a bath this morning and popped my head in the utility room to check on some washing when Jemima came to me crying cos she'd trapped her finger in the door. Mmmm.... Not just trapped the end of her finger was hanging off! Panic stations! A rush to get finger covered pressure applied and elevated. Then u realised none of us were dressed frantically phoning Matthew and my dad could not get hold of either! Typical! Then I thought about Amy she is a really good friend who lives opposite who is a doctor and who doesn't work on Fridays! A quick call and she was straight over, she sat with Jemima while I threw some clothes on me and Jonah and she put a pair of trousers on Jemima as she wouldn't go near a top in case it caught her finger. Calpol & neurofen given when Matthew and my mum turned up to get us to a&e! We were due at the hospital anyway (just a little later) as Jonah had another appointment! Off we dashed and got her booked in and sent for X-ray then a long long wait! I had to run down to clinic with Jonah then back again by which time a consultant had seen her and decided the plastic surgeons need to look at it in the morning as its a partial amputation! Probably need a little op. It was too much of a mess to do anything with it today anyway, she let the nurse bandage it up and said her finger was a mouse called wozzer!! She was so brave I was very proud hardly any tears at all. So 8am tomorrow we go back! Then we rushed Jonah to nursery so I could attend his review which was rather lengthy - But quite good - he is settling in nursery now - next target is for him not to have his dummy all the time while he's there!! Absolutely shattered now!!
