Very worthwhile visit to B2B Scotland event at SECC Glasgow this morning to hear Crawford Gillies, Chairman of Scottish Enterprise, open the keynote talks on business leadership in Scotland. Travelled the last leg of the journey on the train from Central Station which still has that horrible smell of the Glasgow underground. Ugh!

Got to know some great people - Nick Price, CEO of multi-award winning recruitment firm Bright Purple, Bill McBride, MD of Westcrowns glass and flooring specialists of Rutherglen, and profs Donald MacLean and Robert MacIntosh of Glasgow University Business School.

Big drams in the evening with the boys at Bert's Bar in Williams Street to celebrate brother-in-law's 63rd birthday. That's the way to do it!
