A Writer's Life

Insomniac

Another day, another manifestation, made violent by a few people who are there only to cause trouble. What started as a peaceful walk ended up with 80 arrestations. And meanwhile, the government had decided that one day of negociation was enough, and had closed the whole process. I couldn't sleep. No mather how I tried, I couldn't get it out of my head: thousands of students manifesting peacefully, and the only ones that were actually seen were the ones who broke a few windows. Not that I approve violence: but this will not end well, and the government is playing the students for political gain.

So I read. Most of the night. Finding comfort in words that were not comforting, and yet they spoke of our time of media manipulation (though the powers that be need to realize that social medias are there to fight this manipulation!).
