Manchester Derby

30th April sees the local derby between Manchester City and rivals Manchester United, at the moment it is neck and neck as to who will win the league with the odds just favouring united, that's ok with Roo as he is a life long support and also his namesake plays for United.

On the other hand it can be a difficult derby to play as I come from a footballing background but instead of the reds my father played for the other Manchester, his claim to fame was scoring a penalty against Burt Trauutman in training(the famous German goalkeeper who played for city in the fifties, saved a goal against Birmingham city took an injury to discovery 3 days later it was a broken neck).

I expect everyone is too young to remember Tommy Lawton the David Beckham of his day he was my grandmothers first cousin, so all in all a very footballing family.

Sorry dad but come on you red devils!!!
