Jim & Helen...

Was out for drinks and Chinese with work tonight... while we were in the restaurant I was watching this couple at the next table. They made me smile laughing and joking so I went over to chat to them. I'm getting much better at approaching people and asking to take their photo.

Of course I assumed they were a couple, but no, brother and sister. Jim is 90 and Helen is 84 and they eat in the restaurant every night. It's a family business and they're all friends. They live together and if they don't have dinner there, they go to the other Chinese restaurant in Leith which is also run by the same family. I'm not sure I could eat Chinese food every night though. I like that they dress up for dinner.

Jim told me about going to see South Pacific at the Playhouse and how he loved it so much he could have gone to watch every night. He said that he'd had a good life and was enjoying a dram with his coffee.

They made me smile.

I was very restrained and had just two glasses of wine... check me out!! Came home, cleaned the bathroom and did the dishes and now I'm going to bed! I'm all cleaned out!!
