Glory Days...

My princess

She has her faults but don't we all. I look at photos like this and realise just what a beautiful daughter I have in Evie. She drives us mad at times but underneath the tantrums, she has a heart of gold and I love her to bits.

Joined a gym in Cambridge today which is a lifetime first. I hate the places with a passion but this one has a pool so at least I can use that a couple of times then watch the money drain from my bank account each month without having to move. Bit like my love film account where they help themselves to a tenner every four weeks while I keep their crappy DVD that I am still yet to watch from 5 months ago. I actually saw the DVD the other day in the bargain bucket in sainsburys for £4.99. So far the copy I have at home has cost me 50 quid. It better be bloody good when I finally get round to watching it.

Anyway, gym. So I got showed around the place and felt like the new boy at school. Then after completing my direct debit forms, I was left to my own devices and made a beeline for the changing rooms. Now, the gym in question gave me a poxy padlock for the locker which is annoying as I had every coin going ready for this. I then spend the next twenty minutes trying to work out how to attach the thing onto the locker and how to set it. Thought for a minute I was going to have to ask the nearest naked man but fortunately I managed to crack it. I dare say it looked a little iffy though seeing as I am a new face and I was frantically smashing a padlock onto the locker but never mind.

Spent the next twenty minutes swimming and wondering what combination I had set it at and how I was going to find my locker without having a wristband with a key on it and a useful locker number.

Got home after my ordeal, safe in the knowledge that the direct debit is in place and I will only have to go back once more before I can say, at least I gave it a good go.
