Bristolwood and Beyond

Woodland Wildflower

Each year, I anxiously await the emerging Trilliums. I have no idea why I like these flowers so much. Perhaps it is their sheer innocent white color and simplicity of their design. I was just thrilled to find three or four plants blooming after the freak snowstorm on Monday!

I have seen Trillium in much more vibrant colors...particularly the reddish/purple variety, but we only see the white flowers here near our house.

I am happy to say that the snow finally melted away today....it is rather a relief to have it gone now! It did help the streams and waterways to replenish themselves around here!
