Obligatory food shot
Misleading title no? I had two food shots lined up - my lunch was a delicious Lamb Madras at the office and dinner was home-made (my moi) black pepper and garlic salmon fillet with steamed fresh veg. I took great pics and then decided at the last minute that its too overdone, too cliche and on day 3 of my Blip journal I decided to forgo the obligatory food shot. So I decided to take a picture and tell a story of something from my past.
Once upon a time......I used to live with a great guy called Stef, a fellow blipper (Counting Sunbeams http://www.blipfoto.com/st3f) and genuinely the most warm hearted guy I've ever met. Stef and I were getting a new washing machine delivered and upon excitedly unwrapping said white beast we discovered it was supported in it's packaging on two pine planks. In my usual wacky style whule Stef took care of some plumbing I drew a face on one of the planks, and then together we named the plank 'Planky' and had a lot of fun placing him in awkward situatiions all over the house. He also gained a ribbon tie at some point... at the end of our tenancy we moved on and out and both signed Planky. He remains my inanimate pet to this day and I hope he will cause great amusement when we reminisce in years to come, because I hope that Stef is my friend for years to come :) Don't remember what became of Planky's 'twin'. The end.
