The yellow carpet.

These fields are under the flight path in to Stansted Airport. Crew and passengers must feel as though they are flying over a big yellow carpet at present.

This is the first time for many years that we appear to have every conceivable field in the locality growing oil seed rape. Farmers must be getting a good price for their crop and/or possibly it survives without heavy demands on our scarce water supplies.

Mentioning scarcity of rain..... this is the first day this week that I've been able to get out into the fields to blip without the threat of getting soaked.

Holiday time is growing close... gear all gathered, just need to see how much we can squeeze in to the 20kg baggage allowance for internal flights in India!!

The odd looking tree in the top left hand corner of the blip is a mobile phone mast. An attempt to blend in with the environment...does in an odd sort of way!!
Mustn't complain, can get the phone to work in the house now, before it was errected you needed to be hanging out of the bedroom window!!
