The beginnings of............

Cream of Tomato Soup.
It has been a cold, cloudy day. Really not very happy when there is no sun!
So the Soup:
Some juicy red tomatoes boiled to a pulp and sieved to get rid of pips etc. Flavor enhanced with chicken stock and layered with tomato puree.
Creamy white sauce base made with half cream, half milk will turn in into Cream of ....
The milk is flavored with half an onion, bay leaf, pinch of paprika. Brought to the boil and left to cool down, then also sieved. Finally the white sauce and tomato base need to be combined and seasoned.
Love loads of freshly ground black pepper, a few flakes of dried chillies, served with crispy, warm garlic rolls!
