inspired by lakeland dry stone walls
We returned to Troutbeck today with Jean and Michael. The lighting was amazing and so were the views but I was particularly struck by these new coping stones. The bank barn in the distance is just one of the well preserved vernacular buildings in this well preserved village.
What a privilege it would be to live here - but I think you would need a healthy bank balance to maintain your home to the standards required for listed buildings.
